About Estelle
Estelle has been training her own dogs for 30 years and in that time there has been a big change in training methods. Estelle is proud to use kind, positive, reward based training meaning that dogs learn because they are happy and want to rather than being forced to.
Estelle has been training other people and their dogs for over 20 years. She started teaching pet obedience whilst competing in competition obedience with her second dog and progressed to teaching dog agility for other clubs. Estelle has now had her own establishment for over 10 years specialising in dog agility whilst still helping people with their pet dogs.
Estelle has for a long time been interested in dog fitness and body strength to support the sport dog and help prevent injuries common in intensive sports, such as dog agility. So in 2021, after a years study, she qualified as a Canine Conditioning Coach adding to her previous Agility Club teaching qualification.
Estelle is passionate about helping people with their dogs and finds seeing her clients progression in both training and competition highly rewarding. She loves nothing more than spending time with her canine companions and has a passion for gardening and all things crafty.
Estelle currently has 3 dogs:
- Knight (left), her soul mate who is eight and a half and competes in agility at grade 7 and in championship classes.
- Shield (centre) who is four and one of the most affectionate and kind dogs she’s ever had. Due to circumstance beyond her control his agility career hasn’t progressed very far but he’s showing lots of potential.
- Link (right) who is Knight’s son and is in early training. He will start learning about agility equipment when he has sufficient understanding of pre-agility training and is over the minimum age of 1 year old. He is also showing a natural skill in herding and this is something that Estelle hopes to pursue with him.
